Four nights of excellent sleep in a row! Damn, I'm gonna have to find something else that I can consistently bitch about, heh? Naw, I'm sure that this will even out. Got an early week coming up now, go in at 07:00, get off at 15:30, I love my early weeks, 'cept for the getting up part, of course. I got up about 10:00, and somewhere around 11:30 I got a call from the tech on call at the hospital. Another drainage procedure, but this time they were going to have to use the main machine, 'cause the patient wouldn't fit into the Z. So I was kinda on standby in case there was an ER patient that needed to be done. And of course there was, I got the call about 20 minutes after I got the original call, so I went in and did that patient with much difficulty. I had transposed a coupla numbers in the accession number, and it flung the images into another patient's file. Luckily, it showed up on my exceptions screen, so I was able to find the file and get stuff straightened out, but it cost me an extra half-hour. I don't feel bad about the transposition, I had two other people check the numbers, and neither of them caught it either. And I had checked myself a number of times. 033550368 was the number, and I typed it as 033350368. Luckily, there are mechanisms that catch stuff like that, but I still have to go in and move the images. Aside from that, a really laid-back day. Been doing lots of singing/playing, and that's always fun. And I plan on getting to bed on time tonight, by 21:00 at least, and extend my streak to five. My hands are a lot better now, but I'm still gonna keep putting the creme on them, just to be safe. Eucerin, is what it is. Never heard of it before. Lard is what it looks, smells and feels like. More American Fear today, driving the right wing fanatics to more tricks. Checkpoints? in America? In New York City? They want to take our America away from us, they truly do. Even though the BabyBushies lost their fight in the courts to take away the rights of people that they have imprisoned without representation or even charges, they still don't understand that the constitution guarantees the same rights for everyone, not just the people that agree with them. And yeah, maybe these people are bad people. They *still* have rights, just as a murderer has rights, and they deserve legal representation, and their relatives deserve to know where they are. Y'know, stuff that doesn't happen in a police state. Everyone, *everyone* has to be free, everyone has to have the same constitutional rights. Otherwise, *they've* won, whoever they may be. America's enemies do not come from foreign shores. They come from Texas. And from Missouri, and from every other state in our union. They are the people to whom the constitution is an impediment. The people who *need* to control the American public. They need to be able to tell you what to think, what to do. They need the brute force to do that. And goddammit, you're giving it to them, step by step, chunk by chunk, constitutional word by constitutional word. Fucking giving it to them. And you will deserve what you get, dammit. "Under God" was put in the Pledge of Allegiance by the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic group. That "Under God" refers to the Catholic god, y'know. That outta shake up the Baptists a bit, heh. I have my own personal reasons for wanting America to survive this latest onslaught. I want to live free for the rest of my life, and I want my kids and grandkids to live free too. America, via the constitution, is probably the best thing that has ever happened to humanity. And I would hate for it to be a failed experiment. Our leaders will probably always be insulated from the wars and the poverty, and it's our duty as Americans to keep them honest, to keep them in line. Whatever the problems are, we can fix it, we have the will, we have the means... we just need to do it. Because the prospect of failure is simply horrible.
