We got out of Wichita before it started snowing, they got about a foot of white stuff.

Before going to sleep, I took some of Debbie's "cold medicine" and I was breathing better than I have for ages. The reason that I know this? I was unable to go to sleep until about 02:30, that's how.

I had forgotten how that stuff affects me.

I was reminded very bluntly, like, with a two-by-four.

I had gone to bed about 22:30, thinking that things were going to be all right. About midnight I woke Karen up to give me a majik back-rub, but the majik wasn't there, dammit. I lay there for another half-hour before I got up.

I sat out in the dining room with my PDA, playing word games and wearing my mind out, I hoped. Well, fer sure it wore my mind out, but... it still took a long time to get to sleep.

Woke up at 07:30 and tried to stay asleep for a half-hour or so and then I gave up on it, I was up for the day.

We had breakfast out, and then went to Sam's, where Debbie had to pick up some stuff, and we got a few things too. Then back to Deb's, and we lit out shortly after that, heading north while the storm was heading northeast. Gray day, good driving weather. We made it to Topeka in about two hours, and I wrote up yesterday's entry and then we got ready for our trip to the bed'n'breakfast place.

I had been harshly critiqued on my dress for the concert Thursday night, so I made Karen pick out my clothes. There's more than one way to skin, or dry, a cat, heh.

More on the B&B tomorrow... it's really gonna be fun.

Thanx for being here!
