We got up around 09:00 this morning , both Karen and I were not very rested... She had nightmares and I just plain didn't sleep well. I had a weird dream, I was taking a bath and people kept interrupting me and the damned water got cold.

We left Topeka about 10:30 and drove through a landscape of grays and white and browns, which gradually turned into shades of browns as we approached Wichita.

Debbie had some errands to run, so we drove over to see Betty.

She was much worse than the last time that I saw her... Very weak and very confused throughout the half-hour that we spent with her. Discouraging to me and even worse for Karen, of course.

Nephew Jeff hadn't been feeling well the last coupla days, but he was feeling well enough to participate in the holiday concert.

And the concert was very nice, I enjoyed it a bunch, and so did Karen.

After the concert, Ric made us all root beer floats, and this was on top of the several cookies that I'd had at the school after the concert. I was kinda concerned about my blood sugar, but not enough to leave half of it in the glass... and I kept an eye on Karen's, but she drank all of hers too.

I had been feeling queasy all day, never enough to be sick, but just a weird malaise that seemed to be as much mental as physical. Of course I know that it's all connected.

Anyway, it's off to bed with me, and hopes for a good sleep in the hide-a-bed. Karen and Ric and Jeff all went to bed a little while ago, and Debbie just did too. I'm putting this in the PDA, and it's really slow going... I'm putting it up here on Saturday, just so I can keep things straight, but I'm not gonna mention today yet, that would just be wrong.
