Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Interesting: According to Nicholas Kristof, an opinion columnist for The New York Times, "Americans are three times as likely to believe in the virgin birth of Jesus (83 percent) as in evolution (28 percent)." and, I might add, strange.

Yet another only fair night of sleeping, but that's better than the shitty nights lately, so I should be thankful, heh.

For some reason ot another, the keyboard isn't right tonight, of my head isn't, I'm not sure which, but I'm doing more backing up and correcting than I am writing, it seems.

I forgot to take the cortisone creme to work with me today, and I paid the price for the omission, my hands itched all day. I really thought about taking a picture of my hands, but I decided that my gentle readers didn't really need that.

Open sores are not high on my list of things to look at, much less actually possess, heh.

I'm wearing non-latex gloves most of the day, especially when I have patient contact, and it's really irritating. And my hands really seem like they're getting better, but quite possible it's just a progression of the disease that will cause them to fall off, who knows?

We got an email from Mom today, the service for Aunt Bes is going to be on Tuesday, so I changed my Monday off to Tuesday, we'll go down on Monday night and come back Tuesday evening. Monday was going to be a bad day to take off from work anyway, this will be better.

Three or four months ago, Karen made reservations for us at a Bed & Breakfast place for this weekend, and we've really been looking forward to it. I had told her to cancel the reservation, but she hadn't done it yet when she read Mom's email, and it looks like we'll be able to go anyway, whereas before, when I thought Bea's memorial was going to be on Sunday. I had taken Thursday and Friday off because we wanted to go to a jazz concert in Wichita that our nephew Jeff was playing in. The bed & breakfast is north of Topeka, so we would be driving to Wichita, *back* to north of Topeka, and then back to Enid.

Tard. Rought day at work, I was the runner today, and my bowels haven't been doing right, and I was worried that I was coming down with the flu or something up until about 14:00 when I started feeling all right finally. Really felt crummy with cramps and crap, but after lunch all was OK. Go figger. I'm happy to be feeling good now.

A long-time reader, Kirk, let me know that the sticks that they give away with those expensive cigars are for lighting those cigars. Heh, they why do they sell those expensive lighters? So that you can light the sticks? I guess. But most likely so that they can make all that money, heh.

Anyways. It's snowing, after a nice glazing of freezing rain and sleet. Nive to look at, and I don't have to go out in it until tomorrow, heh. And right now, since I've had my supper and taken my pills, I think that I'll just go to bed.

Thanx for being here!
