I do believe that I will be in bed before 21:00 tonight. Getting off at 16:30 sucks, but going in at 08:00 is nice. Got up on time today, got a good sleep, feeling completely over the sick that I had over the weekend. Hands, though, they itch terribly, to the point of hurting. Several layperson diagnoses: eczema; latex allergy; talcum allergy; allergy to something else, maybe the soap in the dispensers in the hospital? I wash my hands probably 40 times during the day, and I put on a pair of latex gloves probably 30 times a day. I really can't do my job without doing this. I could wear latex-free powderless gloves, of course, and that's what I'm gonna do for a coupla weeks, but I'm not really feeling like that's the problem. And I'll quit using soap, just warm water, to wash with. The main problem is, of course, if I can't get this cleared up, I really can't do my job. Right now, it's really painful to grasp things; if this continues to get worse, it'll be impossible to grasp things, and I might as well just not be there. I think that I'll just make an appointment to go see my doc and get a referral to a dermatologist and *really* find out what might be going on. In addition to the blisters on my palms, I'm getting blisters in between my fingers now, just tiny ones, but they itch like hell too. I'm regularly applying a cortisone lotion, 1%, to the affected areas, hoping that it'll do some good. In other news, it's still cold and gloomy here, doesn't help my mood any at all. Not that I would ever get to see the sun anyway, but still.... OK.
