Yesterday, Karen and Kim went out to Best Buy to get a home entertainment system, surround sound with the DVD player; unfortunately, the one that I saw in the paper was not the one that I thought it was. She stood in line two hours to buy the wrong thing.

So we took it back today and got the right one, more expensive, of course. But we didn't have to wait in line at all.

So we came back home and started working... before I could install the system, we had to get the rest of the walls painted and I had to move the bookcase from out of my room into the living room. It was quite a job moving all of the crap off of the bookcase, and I threw a lot of stuff away, but not nearly as much as I should have. Now I have the crap piled up all over my room.

And it was quite a job getting the bookcase out of my room we had to lay it down, then turn it up on its side, move it, lay it down again and then turn it upright and move it into place..

The entertainment system is our xmas present to us, but more of a reward for getting the room painted. Now all we have to do to the room is get the border put up... well, and paint the ceiling, and several other little things like that, heh.

And then I have several projects; I need to build a TV stand just like the bookcases to fit in between the bookcases, and I want to use the same style that I used 22 years ago when I built them.

Then I'm gonna build a shelf to go over the windows, that's gonna be a pretty big project in itself, gonna have lights in it and rods to drape fabric over.

Brian tacked up some icicle lights on the railing of the front deck, so I guess that xmas season is officially here now. As usual, I'm looking forward to it being over already.

Karen and I are going out to the Den tonight and socialize with Jody and Lee Ann, it's been a while since we got to do that. So I better go shave and shower and get ready to go.
