Well, OK, before I forget again, the thing that I have been meaning to write about but couldn't remember: In April or May, I got my new camera. And I have a fanny pack that I carry it in. And I have faithfully carried it to work and back every damned day, rain or shine, to record interesting things that might happen along the way. Nothing interesting ever happened. No sunsets of car wrecks, no flowers or beautiful cloud formations, not bug of interest, no... nothing. So Monday I didn't take it with me. And guess what happened? Nothing. Nothing happened. Nor Tuesday, nor Wednesday, nor Thursday. That's today. So I'm gonna start again tomorrow. Never give up. If something interesting had happened, I would be castigating myself, and I really don't like the sound of that, y'know? I got to talk to brother Dan tonight, and it sure was nice. Re-connecting to a very nice, thoughtful, intelligent man. Today I was on the computer at work, but it didn't seem like it. When we are fully staffed, it seems like it's a rather relaxing sit-down job, but when we're a tech short, it really isn't... up, down, up, down all day long. I'd rather be in the room standing and walking all day rather than the up-down deal. Makes me tired, it does. been playing a little guitar and a lot of keyboard tonight. I'm getting into the keyboard big time now, I don't know why I never did before, I've had it for four or five years. I'm trying to get my left hand to do the boogie-woogie automatically, and it seems to be working, albeit rather slowly. I really have no idea about what to do with my right hand once I get the left hand going, though. Not there yet, heh. I'll figger that out when I get there. I also need to get to know what chords are, how to build them, I mean. I've got that all in a coupla books that I've had for forty years, if I can find them. Then I need to get my left hand to play them automatically. I'm having fun with this, I really am! I need to get the stereo hooked up to the computers, I guess, so I can listen to some music and get some ideas. Most of my music ideas originated thirty years ago, and haven't progressed much, I'm afraid. Anyway, right now I can listen through the sound cards, but my ears are getting bad enough that even at max volume I can't really hear it all. And no, I've never really listened to music at high decibels... I've just got bad ears. Goes along with the tinnitis, I guess. I did get up on time again this morning, but I fiddled around and just barely got to work on time. And I wore my cowboy boots all day, which was OK, except that the shanks wore holes in my lower legs. I remember that happening when I first started wearing them 20 years ago, but I guess that I work calluses on them. The callused are gone, and tender flesh hurts when it's rubbed for ten hours, heh. Silly of me to not know that. And I got through an entire entry without mentioning how tired I am! Aren't you proud of me?
