Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

I got a good night's sleep, got up around 08:30 or so. Didn't do much until about noon, when Karen persuaded me to put a base coat on the east wall, that took about a half-hour. I had been planning on spackling it about twice more, but I decided that the defects wouldn't be *too* noticable... at least, they won't if you aren't me. And you aren't, y'know.

Then I decided to get serious about CSS. I got the archive just how I wanted it in about ten minutes, mostly 'cause I've been thinking about this for three years. Planning, not procrastinating.

I have found that if I think about stuff for a coupla years, it makes the execution go a lot better. I make all of the mistakes in my mind first, where they can be easily repaired.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work for spackling.

And Lee Ann and Jody didn't make it over tonight, and I'm sad about that. Jody was sick, and Lee Ann was unhappy about it. Well, I'm unhappy about it too, dammit, I don't like it when my friends are sick, especially when I'm expecting for them to entertain me! I do hope that he feels better soon. And that Lee Ann doesn't come down with it too.

And the chili that Karen made is wonderful, simply wonderful. Sorry, guys. Some other time.

Brian was here, Matt is working tonight. We watched Platoon, it was the second or third time that I've seen it, it's still a damned good movie.

And It was a gloomy day today, supposed to be the same for the next several days. Made me wish that the hot tub was working. Maybe I'll get off of my lazy ass and work on it tomorrow.

We have to buy a cover, and the pump needs new seals, and there's something wrong with the circuitry so that it won't heat up unless it's running full blast. All of this takes money, dammit.

And I need to work on the back deck around the tub, too. One of the supports against the house rotted out, and, although I think that I know how to fix it, it's gonna take a lot of work. And that's something that won't take much money at all, just brainwork and... actual physical work. Maybe I'll get on that tomorrow.

I did spend some time playing on the guitar, and I think that I'll do that some more before I call it a day.

Thanx for being here!
