Ah, well, then. Summer is over. Autumn is here, and I'm really happy about that. As many drawbacks as Kansas has, it does have seasons that change every quarter. The fact that I think that at least one of those seasons sucks really doesn't mean much. There will be a little more financial stress this winter due to natural gas prices going up... thanx, folks, for voting for that son-of-a-bitch BabyBush. today I'm tard. And weary. It's mostly because we stayed out too late last night (though we did leave before the band quit playing) and maybe a little 'cause I drank a few beers... I'm not really used to that. We did have a great time, though. Didn't dance too much, just a few... one fast one that wore me out, and Karen too. A lot of the tard can be attributed to the fact that there were kids all over the place all weekend, including one sleeping in my bed with me... that would be Lacee. Karen was sleeping in the middle, but she got up in the middle of the night and decided to not try to crawl in between us, so she cleared a place on the "guest" bed to finish up the night. The "guest" bed is where all of the stuff from the living room in ending up. We're going to do some major throwing away when we get the front room done, I really son't want to move all that junk back onto the shelves, heh. In fact, I want to move *MY* stuff back on the shelves, my favorite books are in the basement in a box, and I really want to look at them occasionally. I went in to work today about 15:00, after watching the KC Chiefs beat up on the Houston Texans. JD was at the game, and promised to write it up tonight. Anyhoo, I worked a coupla hours and got it finished up, then I came back home and pretty much collapsed. Karen was working on the walls, with occasional help from the grandsons... it should be ready to spackle in the next coupla days, I think. Then the ceiling, I've gotta remove the fans and put fancy things around them, then put them back up. Loads of fun, there. And fix the crack from where the house settled after we put the french drain in a coupla years ago. And now... I'm gonna get a good night's sleep, I hope! I think that it's gonna be a rough week at work....
