Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

And this will be another short entry, but for a more... joyous reason.

Yep, Karen and I are going out to a bar and watch a band.

And socialize with some people... people who aren't family!

Yeah, it's a big break for us, heh.

This lady at work, who I've known for years and years, has a boyfriend who's a singer. I bought a CD from her a month or so ago, then bought his other CDs. I liked the sound, and so does Karen.

So I emailed the lady (she works in a clinic on the west side of town) and asked her if the guy does anything locally, and she told me where he was playing tonight, so Karen and I made arrangements to go over there.

And then I was telling another lady at work that we were going out there, and she and her boyfriend are going too, and with her along we're bound to have fun.

However, the band doesn't start playing until 21:00, so we really won't be there that long, since I'm on call starting at 07:00 in the AM.

Not that's not really a problem, I should be able to be in bed by midnight, and although I know that I've got a coupla patients in the AM, there's nothing too urgent about them, so if I mosey in at 08:00 it'll be OK. Unless the ER calls me in earlier, which they've been known to do.

And today at work was pretty bed... hectic and confused... but the main machinery was up and going, otherwise it would have been disastrous. I was supposed to get off at 15:30, but I stayed until 16:30 kinda hanging around waiting for a biopsy to go or no-go. It was a no-go, but I will probably wind up doing it in the morning. Long weekend, the doc doesn't want the patient to spend the whole three-day weekend in pain, and I concur with that wholeheartedly. I really would have preferred to do it this evening, but there was a major scheduling problem with the docs who do those procedures, and it couldn't be arranged.

So... I did say that this was gonna be short, so there you have it. Look for a report on the fun activities that occurred tonight in tomorrows' entry, along with JD's happy arrival!

Thanx for being here!
