Notes

A little bit cooler today, I don't think that it got over the century mark, but just damned close... like 99°F is all. But the humidity is down, and that's a good thing.

And I jumped out of bed this morning at the first peep of the alarm clock, ready to meet the day...

Well, OK, that's a baldfaced lie, which I'm not allowed to tell any more, since I'm more or less fuzzy-faced these days.

Yeah, I snoozedbarred until the last minute, jumped up, got dressed, took the blood-sugar (it was 98!) ate my oatmeal, took my pills and split.

Tonight I've already shaved and showered, so I'll be able to do the same thing tomorrow.

And tonight, just to be different, after I'd done the washing part of the shower with warm water, I turned the hot water off, and just cooled down for about five minutes... it was wonderful!

Not to change the subject, but, well, yeah... many of you have not noticed the guestbook that I've installed... and many thanx to those of you who have, and actually went and wrote something for me! Thankee, thankee!

It's in the box in the upper left corner, just waiting for you.

Work today was work. There is a lot of disgruntlement about the non-eating and drinking rule, and morale of the troops is very low. Almost everyone sees this as capricious and arbitrary (yes, both!) and want things back the way that they were, me included.

The problem is... the employees aren't represented on the ruling council, the *leadership* council, I think that it's called.

On the other hand, it's *their* hospital, and they can make whatever rules they want to. We don't *have* to work there, after all, right?

I mean, it's their choice to staff the hospital with disgruntled people, heh. I suspect that there is gonna be a swing here... an exodus from our hospital to the *other* hospital... it's happened before, voting with the feet.

So I did get off on time, though, that was nice. Came home and Karen and I went to the Y for about 45 minutes, then out to eat at the New China Inn, which was excellent, as usual. I probably didn't have more than the allowable 75 carbs, and I'll see what the old glucometer has to say about that in the morning.

On the way home, we stopped to look at a truck, but it was a Ford, and although it was a 2000, it looked like it had a lot of miles on it. Just lookin', of course.

Then we went over to Kims and visited for a while... I hadn't seen Lacees' room since it got re-decorated, it looks nice.

Then home, and here I am and it's past my bedtime already.

Thanx for being here!
