Well, dammit, the first thing that I did when I got up was check my pill minders. Yeah, I don't really remember much about yesterday at all, those T3s did the job really well for me. Long day at work... I got up late, natch, and skipped breakfast... I had a choice between skipping that or a shower, and my co-workers won out. Back to now... once again, big thunderstorms in Nebraske, sliding off, like last night, to the NE. No cool or wet for Topeka. Dammit, even Houston is cooler than Topeka! Although Enid isn't.... Did I mention that I was tard? I haven't done that lately, I've been neglectful in my duties. Karen and I and Kim are going to Wichita this weekend, her brother Chuck and his beautiful wife are visiting, it'll be nice to see them. Work was... well, work. 'nuff said. Well, maybe not enough. There's been an edict from the... I don't remember what you call them, the governing council or some such. No drinks or food in the department. No coffee, tea, water.... And they're stating that they're trying to retain people. And it's bullshit like this that makes people look for milder climates, where the work is valued above all else. "patient areas" is the area that they're trying to keep food and drink out of, and I can understand that. But non-patient work areas? Bullshit, I said, and I will repeat: bullshit. Hospitals run on caffeine and chocolate. And that's your basic understatement. It has nothing to do with professionalism, or patient empathy, or workload. And so... it's bullshit. I miss being properly hydrated. Even though I'm decaffeinated. This was announced last week, and I've been doing a slow burn ever since then, and I'm liable to tell someone important what I think pretty soon.... O'well. Life goes on.
