Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Yet another horrible day at work; this time, though, it was all my fault... I didn't get to sleep until past 03:00 last night, and that just doesn't work for me anymore. I was tired, sleepy and cranky, yes I was.

And Bob Hope died. What will this world be like without Bob Hope? He was a fixture. O'well, dammit, people die all of the time and the world goes on. It will only stop, from a personal standpoint, when I myself bite the dirt.

Cooler day here today, it was nice not being assailed by heat upon leaving the hospital.

Last night about 21:30 I stepped outside, and damned if it wasn't raining! Great big drops... and only for a short time, but it was weird. High, heavy humidity, and stars were visible mostly all around... just one little cloud overhead. No wind, either, just patter-patter of the drops hitting. Five minutes of weather weirdness.

I heard the weatherman on the local TV station say it was weird, too... it wasn't just me.

Anyway, I went to bed last night at 22:15, quite a bit later than I had intended.

Tossed & turned for an hour.

Got up and shaved and showered.

Went back to bed. Tossed & turned for an hour.

Got up and went to the computer. Started reading about the journalcon in Austin. I'd mentioned it to Karen earlier, and she seemed to be OK with it... so I sent them my money.

Yep, I'm going to Austin in October!

And I'm already getting excited!

I put in for some time today, and the coast was clear, nobody had asked for that time off yet. So I can spend a coupla days with my boys, and on Tyler's birthday, even!

Back to my sad insomniac story... well, no, you all know the story already, it's been a common theme throughout the life of this journal.

Suffice to say, it's painful, and I need to make up with a good sleep tonight, and I shall start that right soon.

I've started reading Dracula... so far, a wonderfully writ tale.

Thanx for being here!
