Shitty night. Then a shitty day, too. Had a helluva time getting to sleep, then slept poorly, dreams and stuff. Then, at 04:00, I woke up with snot literally pouring out of my head. I really, really thought hard about calling in, but I just couldn't do that. And it's a good thing, 'cause we were busy, *way* too busy for the three people that we were. And the snot continued well into the afternoon. I hate summer colds. They come on like a Kansas thunderstorm and leave a dank, humid moldy feeling behind. And then, about 15:00 (when I was supposed to be clocking out!) we had a patient come down that needed a drainage procedure. Naturally, I volunteered to stay over, and I didn't get outta there until about 17:15 or so. And now I'm home, and doing this little bit of writing, then I'm going to go to sleep. It was a beautiful day here, high temp was about 82°F, and I missed it. Karen has the house opened up, but I'm gonna close it up again and go with the AC, because I need to get ten hours of sleep, and that's the only way that it'll happen. On the way home from the Y last night, I spied a Butterfinger in the car, and I had to have it. I did, and my BS this AM was 140. I really need to get a backbone. Really.
