Reunion weekend for Karen... 45 years ago, the class of '58.
I got up late, since I was up all friggin' night doing CTs on people. People who needed them, which makes it quite OK with me.
After writing last night, I was called three more times, the last time it was 06:55 when I clocked out... and I was off call at 07:00. I'd just gotten home at about 06:00` thinking that I was home free, heh. Silly me.
Karen woke me up at 11:30 and I showered and we headed south about 12:30 or so, I think. We had a pleasant trip down, talking about lots of things. I finally got to explain to her why I despise BabyBush, among other things. I really think that she's coming around. We went straight to the reception when we got here and spent a few hours there, but somewhere in the middle we went on a side trip to see the Parsons Museum, which was pretty interesting, we'll have to go back sometime when we can stay longer, they closed at 16:00... well, they gave us an extra fifteen minutes, that was pretty nice of them They had the oldest x-ray machine that I've ever seen, a dental unit that was being used in 1926, probably made in the early teens, from what I know of the early machines.
Dentistry is just as scary to me now as it must have been to patients then, heh. Still hate 'em! Well, not really dentists, just the whole idea of dentistry, I guess.
We went to Vicky and Jack Martin's house, where we would be staying, But disaster loomed: I had forgotten my CPAP machine. The ladies in the latter picture are Karen (of course!) Vicky and Mary Ann.
and got ready for the evening. Karen had bought me a black silk shirt and tie, but most of the guys that we met at the reception said that they were wearing jeans, so I kinda nixed the idea that I should wear a tie and show them up... I was, after all, a guest.
