So, it was two years ago today that I quit smoking. Friday night I made JD give me a cigarette, and we sat out on the deck in the dark and smoked. It was nice doing that. And I have no desire to smoke. Speaking of JD, he and Tyler are again gone, JD to KC and Ty to Lawrence, just like last night. And the call... hasn't been bad, not bad at all. Which means that I'm not really making any money, but that's OK. Last night I went to bed right after I'd posted, and I got called ten minutes later, exactly at midnight. Weird... there hadn't been a CT done since 15:30 in the afternoon! Anyhoo, I did two patients and came back home. And this morning... I got up at about 10:30 or 11:00, and I got called at 11:42. I went back and forth several times in the afternoon, but then at 19:00 the night tech that does CTs came on, and I don't expect to get called any more now. I got on eBay tonight and got a computer for Patrick and a replacement motherboard for Andy's machine, he'd loaded it up so that it wouldn't hardly move and I told him to bring it over and I'd fix it... well, I did. I thought that I'd try some additional memory, and I think that I blew the MB when I did that, dammit. So I've got another one coming. And speaking of computers, I told JD's friend Mike that I'd build him a cheap one, but I think that I'll just give him one, I've certainly got enough parts around here to put one together. Nice day today, some threats of rain but noting while I've been awake... I did notice that it had recently rained when I went out on the first call this morning, though. And I think that I'll get to bed, even though I don't have to go to work tomorrow... the boys need to get on the road by noon, so I will have time to visit with them before they go.
