And gee, I'm glad that it's Friday. I was re-reading the Sam saga tonight, and I realized that I didn't really explain how it happened, which is a pretty serious omission. So, what happened: There were clothes in the dryer already, and Karen had washed another small load, and they were ready to go in the dryer. She opened the door to the dryer and got the wet stuff out of the washer and threw it into the dryer, closed the dryer door and hit the "ON" button. Sam must've snuck into the dryer while the door was open, much to his demise. Work was work today, nothing fun or interesting... O'wait, we had half of our patients cancel (or just not show up) this morning, so we had a lot of slack time. Normally we try to think of mischief to get into when we have slack time, but I guess we just didn't have too much in the way of mischievous energy today, what with it being Friday and all.... I returned a coupla calls today from recruiters, I need to send stuff off to one, he sounded pretty interested, and he had several interesting positions open. Of course, talk is cheap. On the technical front... I got my Toshiba PDA today, and I only ordered it on Wednesday. It's an e310, in case that means anything to you. I got a really good price on it, it's a refurbished unit, and I got an extra 128 memory chip. And I've already got a bunch of e-books on it, and it really looks like a pretty good way of reading stuff... of course, they (that's Microsoft) want you to buy the books from them, which is fair enough. I'm sure that there are a lot more PD books out there, I haven't searched for them yet, though. O'yeah, it plays MP3s, natch. I have *all* the MP3s that I'll even need, heh. Back to... the back. Still not good, but not as bad as I'd feared. The pain that I was having yesterday that I attributed to lifting the fat guy seems to have disappeared, but my original injury is a whole bunch worse again. I absolutely *have* to clean my desk off, stuff is getting piled really high and even getting dangerous. When I get that done, I'll take a coupla pretty pictures. The best news of the day, though, by far... KAREN'S BACK! I have missed her a bunch. She (and Lacee) were gonna stay in Wichita and come back tomorrow, but Karen decided that she would rather be home, and I'm happy 'bout that, I am! In the Mail: On the shelf:
