Sam is still with us, but not really very much.

He's just laying there breathing... doesn't seem to be in much pain or anything, but he's not eating or drinking much at all.

The good news is that his eyesight seems to be back... it's really hard to tell much about it, but he does flinch if you bring your hand close to his face, and he doesn't run into walls.

I did a little research on google... I only found one other instance of a cat living after an encounter with a clothes dryer. It's too soon to tell about Sam, though... I don't have a good feeling about his long-term survival. He was awfully hot, and cats don't really have many brain cells anyway... but when he moves, he's coordinated enough to walk. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic.

I hope so.

In other news... well, there's not much other news. I haven't had any pain pills for my back yet today, but I'm still taking the flexeril. I cleaned out the dryer a little while ago, and that kinda made my back tense up a bit. There was blood all over the dryer, of course, and the clothes that were in there... mostly my clothes, dammit, some of my favorite shirts... I hope that spray 'n' wash is all it's cracked up to be.

I had a nice long nap this afternoon, slept from about 14:00 until 18:00. I got up early this morning for some reason or another, maybe 'cause I went to bed early last night.

Supposedly the administration has come up with a reason as to why we haven't found WMD in Iraq. Dollars to donuts they can't convince me. They'll let us know what to believe tomorrow.

Interesting expression, "Dollars to Donuts", but way out of date... that saying must've started when a dollar was a dollar and a donut was a nickel. That was a long time ago.

I just finished getting all of the clothes ready to wash... man, that cat lost a lot of blood! Well, that, and the fact that a little blood goes a long ways when it where it's not supposed to be... I had to go get another bottle of spray'n'wash

And Sam is just laying there. Poor thing... I think that the jury is still out on his survival.

Karen is getting ready to take Lacee down to visit Jennie in OK City for a week or so, Lacee's really excited about that, and so is Karen. I am less enthusiastic, of course, but I'll get by.

On a brighter note, I'm looking forward to going back to work on Monday.
