Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

A busy, but still OK, day at work.

Again, one helluva time convincing myself that the world needed for me to get up this morning.

I was on the "Z" today, and I actually got to do a biopsy! I was tickled pink. It didn't go as well as it could have, though... but we finally got what we needed. I got to work with a doc that I really like but seldom get to see, so that was fun.

Tomorrow I'm the patient guy, another job that I really like.

After work, I went over to see Eileene and worked on her computer. I wound up having to reload the MS operating system to cure the various problems that it was having. I tried to convince her to dump her anti-viral software, I don't know if I was successful or not.

Scare tactics. That's what Norton (Symantic, whatever) uses to sell their boondoggling software. It's what BabyBush uses to sell his wars and tax cuts and anti-freedom legislation. At least with Norton, all you lose is your money.

Well, and most of your processing power. But what's that, compared to your safety?

That last statement is true of both of the aforementioned entities, of course. Processing power/freedom... the ability to do what you want with your life. Give it up to the right-wing fear-mongering sonovabitches if you want to... but count me out.

Karen and Matt are in KC tonight, doing what? I dunno. She called from some place that sounded like a bar and I couldn't hear her, so I tried to call her back and got no answer... I'm not gonna worry about her, I guess.

Tonight's picture is Eileene, click on the little one for a big one, as usual....

I am really gonna be glad to see this weekend come. My body is still draggin', and I really want a coupla days off. Even working on the brakes will be fun. I'm just tard, plain tard.

I got a nice backrub from Eileene tonight, nurses give the best backrubs, y'know? And if Karen was home, I'd get one from her, too... what she lacks in finesse, she makes up for with enthusiasm!
