Well, no, we won't. Now that that's taken care of.... I've gotta replace the brake cylinders on the truck this weekend, and I think that I'll replace the one on the hydraulic clutch too. Usta be, years and years ago, they sold little hones that you would use on the cylinder itself and then you would put in new rubber parts... I hope that they still do that. Pretty cheap and not really very hard to do. The clutch leaks hydraulic fluid into the floorboard right below the clutch. Or my left foot. And it's been getting worse over the last month, just like the brakes. It's still horribly hard to get up in the mornings... I think that I'm still not recovered from the weekend on call. I don't hurt anywhere, just got no get up and go. Speaking of get up and go, I talked to a recruiter today, she's put me on her active list. And I've got calls in to a coupla other recruiters. The one that I talked to said that business had been slow the last coupla months, that I probably shouldn't quit my job until I had another firmly in hand. I'm not really sure if that's right, but I know that the tech situation has become saturated in Wichita, there are a coupla techs moving up here to take jobs at the other hospital. On the other hand, the recruiter could have just been telling me that to set my salary expectations lower. Yeah, they would do that, wouldn't they? Karen and I went out to eat tonight, I gave her the choice, and we went to the Olive Garden. Usually I'm not that fond of the place, but for some Love them carbs, I do I do. A good friend is moving to Great Bend, and I'm going to go work on her computer tomorrow before she goes. And I guess that I shouldn't resent her going, 'cause I'm gonna do the same thing, but still.... I haven't taken any pictures lately! I just realized that. So OK, today's picture is one of Debbie's front entrance... Deb is Karen's sister in Wichita, for those of you who have forgotten..... More beautiful weather here in Kansas... almost makes me want to go outside and get some work done. Heh, I said "almost". In the Mail: On the shelf:
reason (starvation, probably) I was hankerin' for some spaghetti with meat sauce. And I got some, and it was good, and I left about a third of it on my plate... 100% carbs, y'know.
