Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

It has been said recently that if I can't say anything interesting, I shouldn't say anything at all. And that if I can't take a picture of something interesting, leave it off. And this is a well-meaning critic, I'm sure, trying to improve the world.

And, as usual, I am defiant, perhaps foolishly, for I will continue making my little world here.

Speaking of critics, the same sort of people have said that there can never be peace in the middle east, that the lion won't lie down with the lamb, that the penguin and the frog are natural enemies and that they will mutually massacre each other. Well, hah! I say! A thousand times HaH! I have proof that the latter is a lie, and once a liar is exposed, all of his lies are also exposed! (Or *her* lies, I didn't mean to sleight the feminine liars that read here....)

Today was a pretty good day at work. I was in the room tending patients and that's always about my favorite thing to do, and we weren't really busy so I could take my time and at the end of the day... my legs didn't hurt! Well, not bad, anyway.

And today was our first day of being filmless, and it went really well, for our department anyway.

And it was a beautiful day outside, too. I got off at 15:30 so I could go see the doctor and let him see how good I was doing, and he said yeah, I was doing good, and I paid him his money and everyone was happy.

I've gotta go in tomorrow morning and get fasting blood drawn to see if I'm *really* doing well, or just thinking that I'm doing well. Lab values don't lie, and this is the first set that I've had since I was pronounced a diabetic, so I'm kinda anxious to see what they say.

Patrick was here when I got home, so I took him over to get the lawn mower and some gas and he mowed the front part of the lawn... the other grandkid, Brian from Lawrence, is gonna mow the back yard tomorrow.

And I'm suddenly really tired, but dammit, it's still light outside....

O'yeah... I don't let the anonymous critics bother me at all. They're not nearly as much fun as the religious nuts that write, though, since they're just a one-shot deal, I can usually get an argument going with the religious nuts at least, and that's usually fun, and I do stand a chance of learning something... well, no, not a big chance, but the possibility is there.
