I really think that it was the chicken on the McDonald's salad that we got on the turnpike. Whatever it was/is, it's nasty and uncomfortable. And makes you miserable. Diarrhea and dizzy for Karen, just a general malaise for me....
I had a horrible night last night, couldn't get to sleep until after 03:00... and I had to be up at 05:30 or so. I just couldn't get to sleep, no matter *what* I did. I even got up and took another shower, thinking that would help, but it didn't. And my head is rather uncomfortable, but certainly not painful enough to keep me from sleeping. And nothing, and I mean *nothing*, ever keeps Karen from sleeping. Well, except for whatever it was that we had last night, the miasma creeping into our bedroom.... I did get up and got to see the opthmologist on time, and he gave me the good news that my eyes hadn't changed since 1995. I had suspected as much, but it's been recommended that diabetics get their eyes checked every year, and I'm gonna do that. I like my eyes, and I want to keep them for as long as I can. I had a message from Karen that I needed to come home after that... and I was running late as it was, I'd promised to be there by 08:45 when one of the other techs had an appointment, but I went home anyway. And Karen was sicker, dizzy and throwing up. She wanted me to take Drew to school, but I declined, not even knowing which school he went to. I figgered that he could miss a half-day of school. I got to work and learned that another tech had called in sick, so there were only three of us... luckily, the schedule wasn't too bad. But... we are converting over to filmless this week... yep, we're going with the Fuji PACS system, we should be totally into it by this time next week. I probably shouldn't have taken the last coupla days off, since I'm the superuser from CT, but it was worth it. I can catch back up on that computer stuff pretty fast, y'know. Early to bed tonight. Early, early, *EARLY*! I am really draggin', I am. I really think that part of the problem was that we slept late yesterday... And I've got about as much of that here as I'm gonna get. And only one little lonely picture today... that's probably welcomed after the deluge yesterday. The two cats are Lucky in the front and Sam in the back. but, on the other hand, there's a kinda flu going around work, so maybe that's what it was, instead of the McD salads. Who knows? And what, after all, does it matter? Well, speculating about it ups my word count tor this entry, and that always matters, heh. Well, no, it doesn't, content, CONTENT, is what matters.
