No tornados last night, but lots of thunder and rain, yep, that's right, rain! We've had 2.5 inches in the last 24 hours! And it's still going on, too. It was thundering a lot while we were watching the movie, added to the realism. From the looks of the radar, we're gonna get another inch or so before this particular storm moves on. I got up early this morning and showered and shaved, ready to get called at 07:00... but it didn't happen until 10:00. I was in for a coupla hours, then home for a couple, then back again for a couple more. I've got a CT tech on until 23:00, and I expect that I'll get called in about then. I might try to get a coupla hours of sleep before then, though. Interesting turn of events in the California case of the missing woman/foetus. I really think that they will hang that son of a bitch. Well, darn, I don't really have too much to say tonight, I guess that I'll just go to sleep for a while.... I guess it was a pretty good flick, but it was made in 1998 and they *still* had flames in space. And thunderous explosions. You just *cannot* have flames in space, or sound, either. You need air (O2) for either of these phenomena, and There. IS. NO. AIR. in space. Once they've punctured my suspension of disbelief, it's really hard to get me back, but this one came close. The female lead is a not-quite-pretty girl and I liked her a lot. Bruce Willis is... well, Bruce Willis. They did have some excellent special effects, though. In the Mail: On the shelf:
