Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

I have posted a question on The Usual Suspects about where I should go... I've spent all day posting my resume and applications... but I'm really torn on where to go.

Of course, there are three main choices, Baton Rouge, Houston or the DC area... all of which contain people that I love. But there are lots of other places... San Francisco, New York, Boston...

Or should we kinda ease into it... there are temp jobs in KC, in Wichita, in OK city, in Salina... we could actually commute.

Have I mentioned that we're excited?

I did some yard work today... seeded the area in the back yard where the sewer was dug up... and we raked parts of the front yard that never got finished last year, when Andy and some of the kids started it, leaving great piles of leaves on the lawn.

I helped Lacee with her homework today, she was working in fractions, and I got a kick out of explaining them to her. I always enjoyed fractions, just as I enjoyed diagramming sentences. It's much the same, applied primary-school logic.

Which reminds me, Lacee got offended at me yesterday, I left a tip with bills that had "In God We Trust" marked out. Logic will get to her, sooner or later.

I left a message in The Usual Suspects for people to give me some clues on where to go to start this adventure... have I mentioned that I'm overwhelmed by the places that need techs?

I didn't say much about the game last night, being excited about the other... but that was the best basketball game that I've ever watched, I think. And the ending was just right, too.

I started ThumbsPlus indexing my site about 36 hours ago, and it's still going. Eventually, I'll have a page with every picture on the site available. But I don't know when....

I'm pretty tired now, the raking took its toll, plus just being excited about the future... so it's gonna be an early night for me.
