Natterings, Notions

Notes

"Religion - a small convenience for man, a large inconvenience for mankind." - me, 2003. This will go into my philosophy file.

Crummy day, it was.

Some days it is really hard to get started at work. Like this morning, we didn't get our first patient on the table until after 09:00. Essentially, that put us an hour behind to start.

The problem was actually several problems; the 08:00 patient wound up cancelling for a number of reasons... her films were not sent over from her doctors office, so we had no idea what the nodule looked like of how to evaluate it... contrast or not? And it had been there for a while, and we really *had* to have those outside films before we could do the exam.

The other problems were similar... hassle, hassle, hassle. All day long, it seemed like. And I was running the room again today, and enjoying that, as usual, but damn, I wore my legs and feet out again.

After work I came home, thinking that I'd plant some grass, but I didn't have that much energy... so I just sat for a while, watched the war news. Looks like our boys might as well just understand that they need to fight to the death, 'cause them bastards will just shoot them if they surrender.

Eh, no war talk, that's enough.

I went to eat at the New China Inn by myself tonight, then I went by Walgreens to pick up my months supply of drugs. Dang, I'm expensive.

When I got home, Karen was back from Wichita. We had a serious discussion about something that's been bothering me a lot lately, and I hope that it'll work out....
