Not a bad day, especially considering that it was a Monday. I got up this morning and did a BS, which came out at 108... better than yesterday, which was 122. I'm supposed to keep it below 120, and I don't think that will be much of a problem. And it's 115 right now, which kinda surprises me, given the circumstances.... I got to work right at 07:00 this morning, and I went to a HIPPA meeting at 09:00. More government-induced BS, was my first thought... more meddling regulation of stuff that doesn't need to be regulated. But then... I looked around. We have changed a lot of things lately about the way we do business at the hospital, and most of it is good. And none of it would have happened if we weren't being threatened by loss of funds. Anyway, they passed on the info, the way they were supposed to, and I absorbed it, the way that I was supposed to... it wasn't really an unpleasant way to spend a half-hour. And I *was* getting paid for that half-hour, after all. Off at 15:30 and on to the chiropractor. Then home to Karen. She's really getting into this being retired thing. I think that she's gonna be quite happy with it, in fact. So, we were figgering out what we wanted for dinner, and I suddenly really really wanted to go to the outback, and it didn't take much to talk Karen into that. And we ate a pretty healthy, if somewhat pricey, meal. I had the special And that's evidently the way to do it, since my blood-sugar is 115 two hours later. And i had a great big salad for lunch, too, so that's being pretty healthy all over, heh? O'yeah, Karen and I are going to get together with my old high-school buddy Duane and his wife after we get back from Texas, I'm looking forward to that... Karen and I need to make some friends that aren't relatives. Don't get me wrong, relatives are OK! But our social lives are less than stimulating.... Once again, I'm up way too late, and the morning comes really early around here.... In the Mail: On the shelf:
and Karen had the filet... we both had a baked potato, but I only ate half of mine, and half of my steak, but I did eat most of my salad. And I didn't eat two loaves of their bread, the way that I usually do, just a coupla slices.
