All kindsa exciting things today! I woke up about 01:30 this morning, thinking that I needed to get up and go pee, but I fell back asleep instead. I finally woke up at 05:15 and absolutely *had* to get up then, fifteen minutes before the alarm went off. I got to work pretty early, and it was a busy day. I felt kinda guilty leaving at 14:10, but I did anyway. Actually, I didn't feel all that guilty.... So I spent about 20 minutes filling out paperwork at the chiropractors. Then about a half-hour talking to the guy, who, as it turns out, was once a physical therapist at Saints, and I kinda vaguely remember him. Nice guy, and he's associated with an MD there, and they do mostly sports medicine and rehab. Then I spent about ten minutes on a heat-massage machine, and then the guy worked on my back and neck. Did some poppin' and crackin', but nothing very painful, and I did feel better afterwards. He also gave me a coupla easy exercises to do, just basically stretches. Then he handed me over to the physical therapy guy, who went through some more exercises. Both of these guys were excellent about explaining what the exercises did for the muscles and the spine, really made me understand how to not let my muscles fight with each other to control my body. Synergistic, not antagonistic.... I'm gonna be going back there for three weeks, three times a week. My mind is in danger of being overwhelmed here, first all the diabetes stuff, now all of this information.... I got done there about 16:00, so I went home, after picking up a valentine and a rose.... And our plans for the evening were set: Olive Garden with Kim and Lacee. Well, OK, that wouldn't be so bad, maybe. But first... the guy came over to look at fixing the sewer. We spent about 20 minutes evaluating the situation, and he's gonna be back next Saturday and get it done. And There's a possibility that we will have to lay a completely new line, four feet deep instead of nine... this means that we will lose the use of the toilet in the basement, which is no big deal at all, and we will have to punch a hole in the concrete sidewall of the basement, but that's no big deal either. So, with that taken care of, we went over to pick up Kim and Lacee and away we went! There were obviously no parking places, so I dropped the ladies off and parked several lots away and hoofed it up-hill to the restaurant. I was almost there when I was met by the same three ladies coming down the hill, Lacee shouted, "We're going somewhere else, it's a *THREE-HOUR WAIT*!" Yeah, that was about what I had expected, but I deliberately didn't say anything. So off we went, in search of a place to eat. We finally settled on the place that used to be Valentino's, where Matt works. We had a pretty good meal, and Lacee behaved up until the time that Matt made an appearance. Heh. Go figger. So, here it is past my bedtime already... but I'm gonna sleep in tomorrow, I am. I know, I know, I said that I wasn't going to do that any more... just the regular six or seven hours per night. but, but... OK, I lied. I really want to get a lot of sleep, I just really do.
