I did get a good night's sleep last night, woke up feeling like I wanted to get up. Heh. Little did I know.... Well, I did know that we were going to be a tech short today, yes, I knew that. Normally, when it's known that we're going to be short, the supervisor blocks some of the schedule off. For some reason or another, he didn't do that today. Additionally, our inpatient schedule was pretty heavy, And so was the ER department. In short, we ran our butts off all day. I was running the room today, so no sitting time.... I left at 15:30 on wobbly legs, happy to be going home... there were only two patients left to do, and two people to do them, so I didn't feel guilty at all, at all. I didn't mention in yesterday's entry that the truck had been vandalized, hit with a piece of concrete block... they were trying to bust the I don't like to park in the yard when the ground is wet, just on general principles, but I don't think that I'll park on the street on the weekends any more. I think that it probably happened on Saturday night, or maybe Friday night... I didn't drive the truck all weekend. I had to go get shoestrings tonight for my work shoes... it's been years since I had a pair of shoes that outlasted the strings. Maybe it was just bad strings, heh, but the shoes are more than a year old, worn about every work day, and still look (and feel) pretty good.. Of course, my legs (and my back) are killing me tonight, but the best shoes in the world wouldn't have prevented that, I don't think. In the Mail:
