Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

It was another snooze bar morning, 45 minutes worth. The alarm would buzz, I'd think about how cold it was outside and hit the bar. The alarm would buzz, I'd think about how nice and warm and cozy my water-bed is, I'd hit the bar... repeat until bladder awareness forced me above the fog.

I got to work right on time though, but I usually am there pretty early.

It was a pretty ho-hum day again, not really very busy, mostly pleasant patients, and one who has been really goosey in the past (he comes in every three months) now (finally!) trusts me to put an IV in without flinching. Before, it's been like trying to hit a moving target.

It was very cold this morning, close to that -20°F wind chill. And the heater in my little truck doesn't start to work until I'm about half-way there... but still, it wasn't really all that bad. Well, until I got to work, then I had to walk a block into the north wind, 'bout froze my lips off. It will be gradually warming up, though, and by next Monday it'll be in the mid-fifties. Highs only in the teens tomorrow, though.

Patrick and Lacee were over tonight, and Patrick watched the movie with Karen and I. Karen took Lacee home about half-way through the movie so that she could do her homework, and then I took Patrick home when it was over, and I went to Walgreens to get Karen's antibiotics.

Some thought on the upcoming war by Al at http://www.alvalles.com/2003/01.23.02.htm. He thinks a lot like me but he writes better....

After four days of less than 7 hours of sleep, I still don't know what to think. I'll try it another week and see what happens... I still have the constantly-tired thing, but that was there when I was getting 8-10 hours. Go figger.

Yeah, I need exercise, I know.

Movies Today:
  • Apollo 13

  • Yet another excellent movie. I have to admit, there were tears in my eyes frequently... just like there were when it happened all those years ago.

Either I'm a helluva movie picker or I have no idea what a quality movie is... but all I want is to be entertained, and that's been happening. I need to get some more comedies, though, like Big Trouble... I really would rather laugh until I cried and not just simply cry.
