Yeah, I *did* get up on time today. I need to remember to turn the alarm off *after* I'm standing, not before. And we had a very busy day... we were a tech short in the afternoon, and we had lots of ER and add-on stat inpatients. Lots of really sick people, it seems that every other patient had ascites or abdominal/pelvis abscesses. Nasty, nasty stuff. Speaking of abscesses, we often do procedures to drain them, and I like doing those exams. We use CT to be certain that we are in the abscess space, then a drain is placed. Why I like doing them is that the patient often immediately feels better, and we don't often get to participate in cures.... Cat news: they all hate me. I did let Callie out for a little bit today, she came right back in... it's *cold* out there. I tried to tell her, but would she listen? No, she wouldn't, she had to find out the hard way. The kitten, Lucky... she hates the world. I think that she's going into heat. That problem will be taken care of shortly, along with her ability to shred toilet paper and upholstery. My goal for tonight was to pay bills and clean off my desk. Heh, I did nothing... *nothing*, I say! I had stayed over an hour at work and I lack sufficient ambition to lift a finger. We got a total of maybe four inches of snow, and it's gonna get down to zero tonight. Yep, no temperature at all. And tomorrow is Friday, I'm looking forward to it. It's a long spell (only twelve days) when I have weekend call. I have to pick up Karen and Kim on Sunday evening, I'm really looking forward to that.
