This is my early week, but Lacee unplugged my alarm clock yesterday, so I had to reset it when I went to bed last night at midnight. I woke up this morning at 05:45 and I looked at the clock, wondering why it hadn't alarmed me... the time was set for PM but the clock was set for AM. One more reason for using the 24-hour time system. And another reason to get to bed early. And another reason to watch all kids, even the most innocent-looking ones, like a hawk. Awk! Awk! It wasn't too busy at work, I was the "Z" tech, but since we had a tech off, I filled in for her, she was assigned to be running the room, so that's what I did all day. And tomorrow I'll do it for myself all day. We had a no-lunch, but I wound up staying until 15:30 anyway. So I got home and the mail was still in the mailbox, and there was an 8X10 envelope from the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology). My registry exam notification! I stood there with it in my hand, mulling over the significance of the 8X10 envelope... if I had failed, would it not be in a business-size envelope? I convinced myself, then I opened it. Sure enough, it was my certificate... I'm now a Registered CT Technologist. A quite happy one, at that! And a ten percent raise, too. And worth about thirty percent more on the open market. Karen arrived home shortly thereafter, and she promised to take me out to celebrate... but she and Kim had a cruise meeting to go to at 18:30. They got back about 19:30 and Karen and I went to the Outback... love that place. And now... my back is killing me again. And I'm really tired, and must to bed go.
