Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

No calls yet today... I wonder what's going on? The phones are working, Lacee and her friend who spent the night with her, have gotten several calls. None for me, though. Well, one, from the tech who works with me and lives in Lawrence, he's having some computer problems, hopefully I got him fixed up..

Occasionally, I check my logs to see what's been getting hits on my site. This entry had a bunch. "What matters" was the search string.

Well, now the little girls are gone, but they were almost immediately replaced by the boys, Patrick, Brian and Drew. The football game will soon be on, so I'm sure that I'll get called shortly....

20:21...
I was right, they called me at 12:30, so I got to watch the first 30 minutes of the ball game. KC won, I heard, but I didn't hear the final score.

I got ran hard after I got there, mostly inpatients with medical problems. Every one of them gave me major problems... the patients didn't, mostly, but other things... like I had a pediatric patient come down with an infiltrated IV, and I didn't have time to fix it, so I had to send her back up... then the ICU patient that I got all set up to do a pulmonary angiogram on. I waited for her to get down, then I went up to see what the problem was... well, it was postponed until the patient was stabilized. But nobody bothered to tell me.

I didn't do nearly as many patients today, it just seemed that way. My legs are just as tired as they were yesterday, and my back hurts just as much.

Drew is still here, but everyone else has found their ways home. Andy brought Drew over before noon, he was meeting a girl at a bar to watch the game... and we haven't heard from him since. I'm starting to get worried, and Karen is mad, of course. But it's unlike Andy to not let us know where he is, especially with Drew here.

Anyway, it's unlikely that I'll get any more calls tonight, so I think that I'll go to bed so I can be up early in the AM.

Thanx for being here!
