Notes

SETI update: we are poised to move into 6th place, displacing the Irish bunnyip. The next two shall be surpassed within the next coupla months at the present pace. If I could only get my brother involved, things would go faster, I think... I've gotta work on that!

I went ot bed pretty early last night, but I woke up about 02:00, unable to breathe. My nose was again stopped up... I'm getting tired of this almost having a cold, dammit, I want to just *have* the damned thing and get it over with already.

So anyway, I slept poorly for the rest of the night until about daylight, and then I really zonked out until about 10:00 and awoke feeling much better and ready to greet the day.

Andy came over and worked on the hot tub for about two hours before declaring it impossible, just like JD and I had done. I will have to pay someone to come fix the damned thing, I guess. I probably should have done that in the first place, two years ago.

While Andy was working on the problem, I was blowing all of the leaves off of the decks and cleaning out the hot tub, anticipating filling it. I got all of the rotten leaves and skanky water out of it, and tomorrow I will clean it up properly after the water evaporates. I'll use a scrub brush and hot water, then vacuum it out and put the old rotten lid on it, so when the guy comes and fixes it it'll be ready to go.

I did get the leaves off the decks and I got the front deck cleaned off, got rid of some junk that had been sitting around since last summer. So I had a fairly productive day.

Computer-wise, it wasn't real good, though. Well, it wasn't the computers, but an APC that I had two of them running through, it bit the dust and made the computers wonky until I figgered it out... they kept going off and coming back on for a while before the APC declared that it was dead.

Kind of a low-key evening, Karen and I were going to order pizza, but she couldn't find the coupons, so we had ham sandwiches instead. There was no repeat of the choking incident tonight, thankfully.

Heh, I said "thankfully"! Is the implication there, "thank god"? Or maybe just "Thank your lucky stars"?

On a similar note, I have started saying "bless you" to people who have sneezed. What I'm saying is, of course, that I am blessing them, which is well within my rights as a human bean. I am sure that some of them, the ones who know me, are wondering about that....

When my boys were little, I taught them to say, "I are blessed" when someone blessed them for sneezing. Cute, heh. In fact, they still might be doing that, I'll betcha!

Even if they aren't, they're still cute....

Thanx for being here!
