Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Long old day. Had to work, heh, but only for seven hours. Then I went to the dentist and got my permanent crown. They call them crowns 'cause they're made of gold and only kings can afford them. Well, kings and people with double insurance, heh, that'd be me.

Since I saved $50 Sunday by driving home without stopping, I thought that I'd better spend it on Karen. However, being the selfish prig that I am, I spent half of it on me... I took her out to the Vintage, probably the finest restaurant in West Topeka.

Just as an experiment, I got crab cakes for an appetizer. I knew that I was going to be disappointed, and I was right. They weren't bad, and two weeks ago I would have thought them excellent. Alas, my palate has been ruined forever for Kansas seafood.

Kansas steak, though, is still pretty damned good, yes it is. And so are Kansas girls, well, some of them.

    Right now, our Thanxgiving plans:
  • Go to Wichita Thursday AM.
  • Kim will be going with us
  • I will come back Thursday night.
  • I will work Friday.
  • I will return to Wichita Friday evening.
  • We will all come home Saturday evening.

Karen's brother Chuck is in Wichita how, and will go back to Baton Rouge on Friday... it will be nice to see him again. According to Karen's' sister Debbie, their mom is pretty much living in the past now. It is likely that she will come over toDebbie'ss' for thanxgiving, but I'm not sure how that'll work, remembering the last time Chuck was here... Betty thought that we were kidnapping her.

Right now, my back is killing me, and I just got a nice back rub from Karen... I just need to go to bed, I guess. I was on my feet all day, running the room, which I love, but damn, it makes me tired and sore.

It wouldn't be nearly so bad if I weighed 80 pounds less... I need to work on that with some committment, starting really soon.

Thanx for being here!
