Notes

Ehhhh...

I slept a long, long time. Twelve hours, it was. And I feel great! No, really, I do!

Well, 'cept for the part about not being able to move, heh.

1215 miles, 20.6 hours, with liberal breaks. Lotsa breaks.

I really had been planning on stopping about 15:00, but when 15:00 came, I still felt pretty good, and it was a beautiful day, and I didn't want to stop just then. Next town, no, maybe the next town, no, maybe etc....

I almost stopped on the west edge of St; Louis. It started raining as the cold front moved through, and I decided to stop if it continued. And the odometer turned 1000 miles for the day, at 17:44, and the rain magically stopped. Well, as magically as it started, which was not at all magical, but that's beside the point, of course.

I was good to be home. I had to spend some time hugging Karen before I could get loose to unload the car. She had been gone all day when I was trying to call her, and she had no idea that I was going to be home last night.

I made it to bed around 22:30, and I slept like a baby.

Just had a shower, and I'm going to get dressed and go out and look at the hot tub, see what needs doing. I know that I have to clean it out, that should take about 10 minutes. And I've got to figger out what to do about the top, I can make this one work for a while, I think, but it's eventually got to be replaced.

My first project, though, is to get this journal put back together. So, if you want to read the whole vacation thing, click here and you'll get up-to-date!

Brrrr! Did I mention that it's cold outside? I don't even think that I knew that, come to think of it... a cat wanted to come in, and I thought to step outside with just my robe on. Hmmm, weatherbug says it's 29°F, and the low was 20°F. There will be ice in the tub, making it easier to clean out.

BabyBushs' girls turn legal drinking age today, heh. Watch for the DUIs to start coming...

It has occurred to me that I need a links page. Almost immediately, I realized that I had one, and I just hadn't updated it for a long, long time. Like, five years. And it's hard to get to, too. With Dans' site and Lynns' site and JD and Annettes' sites, I need to do that, so I will... it's here!

And while I'm putting links up, here's one for those of you who want to preserve the constitutional separation of church and state... a petition to reject any amendment which would retain the words "under God" in the pledge of allegiance.

20:11...
Well, I never got outside today at all, much less did any work. And I need to get to bed pretty soon, 'cause I need to go in at 07:00 in the morning, then I've got a dentists' appointment at 15:00. Right now, though, I've gotta go get some 'scripts at Walgreens.

Thanx for being here!
