Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

I forgot to mention that this is National Radiologic Technology week. Yep, in 1895, on November the eighth, Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered x-rays in Wurtzberg, Germany. Or somewhere over there, I kinda forget now, but that's not important.

What *IS* important is that we are getting free meals from all of the people who sell us supplies and equipment. So I haven't had to buy lunch but once this week... today it was bagels for breakfast and pizza for lunch, tomorrow it's gonna be Olive Garden for lunch. That'll be the end of it, since it's the end of the week.

Which is another good thing... the week ending, I mean. I've been working now for 13 days or so, and I'm not used to doing that any more, I'm getting weary and looking forward to some down time.

Tonight I'm burning CDs for work and ripping some that I had forgotten that I had...

I'm gonna meet an old High School friend tomorrow night, he's gonna fry up some crappie that he caught this week. I haven't seen Duane for about 20 years, the last time was when I was getting divorced from my first wife, probably 1980 or so. He called me early this summer and we were gonna do some fishing, but that didn't work out, and I finally called him tonight. I was planning on Karen and I going out with him and his wife, but his wife is in Arizona until the middle of next week, so I'm just gonna go see him, and we'll get together with our wives later on.

Work today... same old same old, except for the free food, of course. I keep waiting for something interesting to happen.

I didn't get a good night's sleep last night, I think that part of that was the new mask. It's comfortable enough, but it's... well, different. New. I'll get used to it pretty quick, but just not immediately. And then about 05:00 my nose plugged up and woke me all of the way up, and I laid there until 05:15 waiting for the alarm to go off, but I got bored with that and got up before it did.

Nice day today, got up to about 75F, supposed to do that for a few days, then gradually get cooler. I need to do some painting this weekend, dammit.

Thanx for being here!
