Twelve hours of sleep did wonders for my attitude. And that lasted from the time I got up until the time that I opened the morning paper. I'm glad that I got a good night's sleep, anyway. And I can't believe that the American people are so short-sighted. I mean, after all, now there won't be any balance in our government. The country will tilt to the right and the Atlantic will swallow the whole east coast. Well, that'll serve them right, heh. But seriously, folks... most of the people that I voted for won. We have a democrapic governor again, a female (again). Of course, by any standards other than Kansas, she could've run as a repiglican, although she was painted as a Clinton democrap by her repiglican (to the right of Ghengis Kahn) opponent. Who, incidentally, gave her a close race. Anyhoo, BabyBush won't be able to complain about not being able to do what he wants to do now... it'll all be on his head, good or bad. And I expect it'll be a lot more bad than good. Anyways, work was OK, not too busy again. I was the runner and I spent a moderate amount of time running, but I did get to leave at 15:30. I took my C-PAP unit out to Apria and got a replacement while they sent the bad one back. It wasn't really all that bad, but the blower bearing was going out and it was starting to make a lot of noise occasionally, and that sort of thing doesn't get better by itself. I also got a new harness and nosepiece, a fancier and sleeker design and one which looks like it will be more comfortable. All this for about $900 charged to the insurance companies. So just for fun, I decided to look on e-Bay for systems... I could buy the whole thing for about $450... brand new. And a used unit with new patient contact stuff is about $200. Insurance wouldn't pay for it, though. Dummies. I came by Sam's on my way home, so I stopped and got some stuff... inpulse buying at Sam's is not a good idea, really. But I got eight cans of clam chowder for $10, and a pair of Dockers for $22. And hot chocolate mix, which is all that I had in mind to buy when I walked in there. Karen invited me to watch the country music awards with her, and I politely declined.. Well, maybe not so politely.... cowboys remind me of BabyBush, and that's not a good thing today.
