Well, I came pretty close to doing damned near nothing today. I did trouble-shoot the phone system and fixed it part-way. It's been off-line since Wednesday or Thursday, I guess... we didn't really miss it any. Anyways, something has happened to both of the lines going to the kitchen, 'cause when I disconnect them the problem goes away. I'm thinking that mice have been gnawing on the lines or something like that, which makes no sense whatsoever. Karen and I went out to Lowes and got some paint and some furnace filters and then to Sams to stock up on some stuff, yesterday was payday and things have been kinda short. I splurged and got a three-pound sack of peanut M&Ms, but I'm not gonna eat them all tonight. No, I'm not. It's supposed to get down in the upper 30s tonight, right chilly. That's plenty OK with me. I got up this morning about 09:30, feeling like I'd slept well, and I've felt pretty good all day. I plan on doing the same thing tomorrow, but I'm planning on getting some work done too, like trying harder to figger out what's with the phone lines and I might get some prep work done and some painting done too, you never can tell about me on a Sunday, I might get a lot of stuff done. Or maybe absolutely nothing. I am really jealous of all of the journallers in SF tonight, though. So far, none of them have written anything, so I don't know how much fun they're having.....
But it's more sensible than the next-best answer, which is that god is harassing me for my evil ways. Or that god is using mice to harass me. But wait, that does kinda make sense, he's already tried with cats and women, and that didn't work. Well, it worked in that I *was* harassed, but not much past the point of distraction, and certainly not to the point of losing my sense of humor. Well, OK, the women came reallllllly close a coupla times....
