Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

An interesting day, and far too long.

I didn't get to sleep until after 01:00 last night, and I was awakened by the phone ringing at 09:00... the power at the hospital had shut off again sometime in the night, and the tech that was on wasn't sure about how to power everything up. I talked him through that, but sleepytime was over.

After that, I didn't get called in until about 13:00, and I've been there off and on all day, I just got home. Interesting patients from the ED... lotsa people with headaches & possible meningitis... and lotsa hassles from the inpatients. Getting orders straight and getting the patients down is sometimes a seemingly impossible task, but a necessity with each and every one.

So, I worked hard today, and I'll probably work hard again tomorrow... no big deal.

So, there's been something in the news that I need to comment about. You remember the atheist who sued about the PAL? Well, he's sueing the government about having preachers on the payroll, opening up each session of congress with a prayer. A Christian prayer, specifically.

Normally I would be in favor of such a SOCAS move, but this time I really have reservations. After all, how better to demonstrate that Prayer Doesn't Work?

Everyone should be having a better weekend that I am, I hope that you're enjoying it. Beautiful weather here.

And now, time to try to get some sleep. There are three grandkids sleeping over tonight....

Thanx for being here!
