Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

23 AUGUST 2002

I think that I'll do this in e-mail and then HTML it when I get home. Again, I had a really hard time getting out of bed today, and it was made worse by the fact that Karen didn't have to get up, so I didn't want to either.

Work was pretty nice up until about 11:30, in fact, I had planned to leave really early since things were so calm. I figgered after everyone had been to lunch I would head out.

Well, yeah, I don;t know why I count on things like that. I decided to not go to lunch... but all hell broke loose, and I didn't get to leave until 15:00 anyway. And I was draggin' when I did, and hungry too. I got home and ate a PB sandwich and waited for Karen and Brian... Brian was going to go to Wichita with Karen, and his mother was supposed to meet Karen at 15:00 at Stull.

Well, I guess that his shoes were too holey, 'cause Karen just had to stop and buy him a new pair... but we still had to be in Wichita by 18:30, 'cause Jeff was having a concert at 19:00.

We made it on time, just barely. When we got there, we learned that there had been some sort of emergency with Karen's mom's arm, which she had fallen on and broken Wednesday night. I still don't have the story on that yet, I'll find out from Karen tomorrow.

Anyways, I got into Enid about 21:00, not too bad of a drive. Mom looks great, but I had given her the idea that I was going to be here much earlier, so she had been worried about me. I need to stop doing stuff like that to my mother!

It's almost 22:00, and I need to get to sleep... and at 20:00, it was still 95F in Stillwater, according to the radio... there is a big thunderstorm to the west of Enid, and one to the east, and they look like they are on a collision course, they should come together over Enid in about an hour. Interesting weather... I was watching both of these storms as I was driving down, you could actually see them from Topeka. Big, big thunderstorms! I might have to stay up and watch, even though I need sleep. I can sleep in the morning, heh.

Thanx for being here!
