Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Monday, August 12, 2002 20:52:06

Well, I did get up and to work on time, in spite of all of the lightning and thunder that started about 03:30. Lightning and thunder, not much rain, though.

I did notice a beautiful rainbow when I was walking from the parking lot into the hospital. I guess beautiful and rainbow are redundant, heh. I've never seen an ugly rainbow.

So, since I went in at 07:00, I got off at 15:30. And that is nice, I really like it.

I got home about 15:50 and I got a phone call as I was reading my e-mail... the area code was 580, but it was listed as unavailable. Well, that's Enid's area code, so I picked it up, and it was my old pal Jesse. We talked for a coupla minutes, then he told me that he was just around the corner... he had his wife Brenda with him, they were vacationing and hitting gambling spots. There are a coupla those up north on the reservations. So they came by and we talked for quite a while, then they headed north to gamble... they were then going to Atchison to visit one of his daughters and her kids.

It was good seeing them again, it's the first time that they've visited us here in Topeka, but they know the way now.

Tomorrow's weather: high of 75F. Tonight we're in a thunderstorm watch area until 24:00, but nothing's showing up in our area yet, but they can pop up pretty quickly, especially with such a sharp temperature gradient.

It has been a long day, and I'm right tired and need to get to sleep.

Thanx for being here!
