Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Sunday, 04 August, 2002 21:05

I was up way too late last night but I still got up at 09:00. Nonetheless, I completely wasted the day.

One of my main timewasters today was James Lerch explaining how and why he built an eight-inch binocular telescope. One of my life-long ambitions has been to build a big 'scope, but I've never acted on that, and I most likely never will... but I like thinking about it.

It only got up to 99F today with the heat index at about 107F.

I've got a problem with my outdoor faucet leaking, I need to replace the washer in it, but it's one of those frost-free ones with a long tube on it and I've never messed with one of those before, I guess that I'll shut off the water and take it apart tomorrow when the hardware stores are open. Unfortunately, the deck might have to come partially up to accomplish this... I'm not sure if it comes straight out or at an angle.

One thing that I hate about wasted days is that... well, they're wasted. And they make me tired, probably from carrying around a big load of guilt about being lazy.

And on top of that, tomorrow's Monday again. Man, I still really miss my seven-on/seven-off schedule!

And my night-time buddies, too.

O'well, life goes on, even when the thrill of living is gone. Who wrote that, anyway? Somebody in the 60's. What a 60's idea, heh.

Thanx for being here!
