This was a much better day altogether, yes it was. I got up on time! I got to work on time! I didn't screw anything up in the first half-hour! Well, things kinda went to shit after that, though. And I did screw some things up. But that all got fixed, so everything was good. And I got off on time! Yep, we actually got all of the patients done in a timely fashion and everybody got off on time! I got home shortly before Karen did, and we tried calling Kim so I could go over and work on her computer, but she wasn't home. So we went out to eat before taking in a show. Yep, we actually went out and saw a show, first one that I've seen since JD and Tyler and I saw the Matrix when it came out. This was the first show that I've been to since I've crossed that majik 55 line and can get the senior discount. Anyway, we went to our local Swiss cafe... HAH! I'll bet that you didn't think that Topeka was large enough to support a Swiss cafe, didja? Yep, we are. Actually, it's a mom and pop place and mom and pop happen to be Swiss. Tony's place, it is. Yeah, sounds Italian, heh? Ain't. Pretty american, in fact. I had the home-cooked fried chicken dinner and Karen had an enchilada. Yeah, Swiss. Well, we ate and went to the theater. The show was The Road to Perdition with Paul Newman and Tom Hanks. Pretty good movie, lotsa blood and no real surprises except for who kills who. But good, nonetheless. At least I didn't shed any tears over the jerks that got themselves killed. Well, 'cept for the women and babies. So anyway, it was a good evening, Karen and I enjoyed each other's company as we seldom get to do lately, it seems. We're really looking forward to this weekend together.
