So, Karen asked me a little while ago what I wanted to do with the remainder of the day. My reply to her was, "I'm happy just to be awake and walking around!" I slept last night, and well into this morning, getting up around 09:30 or so. I read the paper, watched the news and ate a little food... then I went back to bed at noon, sleeping until 15:00 off and on. At this point, I'm feeling fairly rested. Tyler got up around 15:30, he's gone back over to Lawrence to pick up something that he forgot, then he'll be heading out for Texas shortly. He plans on driving all night, then working all day. I usta could do that, back in the day.... 21:06... Actually, I had another reason for rushing him out the door... I'm still having bouts of diarrhea, and I'm getting quite tired of that. I got a strange call this evening, from a board member at CAT - the Cat Association of Topeka, where I was a long-time volunteer and board member. It seems that their director (Betsy) and one of the main volunteers, Aaron, has also quit. Originally, I wrote all of the programs for them... lines and lines and lines of FoxPlus code. Aaron has, over the years, modified most of the programs. And something has gotten screwed up, and there is nobody to fix it, except me. And I'm not really sure if I can fix it, what with all of the modifications he's made, but I guess that I'll try. I'm supposed to meet this guy down there after work tomorrow and take a look at it. From looking at their web page I think that I need to volunteer to design and host that, too. Dammit, I wanted to get some pictures of Tyler while he was here. He is a goodlookin' kid, reminds me of me when I was that age. And that reminds me that I haven't been doing too good at taking pictures in general lately. So here's a gloomy one.
Tyler just got on the road, a little bit late. I kinda felt guilty rushing him out of the door, but I really do worry about him starting out this late. Yeah, I know, I usta do that all the time, but still....
