Well, today wasn't quite as bad as yesterday, workwise. Otherwise, though, it got off to a rocky start. Several weeks ago my right wrist started bothering me when I was moving patients. I was kinda paying attention, but it eventually stopped, and I kinda forgot about it. Well, this morning when I started to get out of bed I did something just absolutely wrong... pain shot up clear to my neck when I put my weight on it. I have been babying it all day, and since I had to go to Walgreens after work and pick up some scripts, I decided to get a splint for it. While I was there, I noticed that the knee splint which the hospital had got for me was about half the price at Walgreens. Anyway, I need to wear the brace at night, because I read that much damage to our joints is done while we sleep... I frequently awake with my hands in strange positions, and it's usually my right wrist, come to think of it. Hopefully this can be relieved within a few days. Also taking Tylenol, of course. Tyler will be here around midnight tonight, I guess that he got off early. Have I mentioned that I'm excited to see him? Talking to him on the phone the other night was a treat... he's gotten himself a girl that he really likes, and it seems that he's re-thinking some stuff... like education and life. He actually sounded enthusiastic, in a way that I've never heard him sound before. It shall be an interesting few days. Yeah, I'm always re-thinking that life stuff myself. Keeps me young and stupid, I'm told. I'm off tomorrow, but I have to work Friday, then I'm on call Friday night, Saturday and Saturday night, and then I'm off Sunday. Hopefully I won't have to go in a lot, but if I do, I'll take Tyler with me. I think that I will get this up and take a nap... I'll have Karen get me up when she goes to bed so that I can greet Tyler when he gets here.
