A nice, long, pleasant day. I called Mom earlier and talked to her for a while, and later on Tyler and JD called and I got to say hi to Annette even! I haven't talked to Tyler for quite a while and it was really nice to hear his voice. Karen wanted to make Father's Day special for Andy, so she made him his favorite meal, steak with mashed potatoes and peas. One of my favorite meals too, come to think of it. Kim and the kids got me a Father's day card, that was unexpected and really nice... and some licorice and honey roasted cashews. I spent most of the day goofing off... I thought about going out to Lowes, 'cause JD and Annette had bought me a gift card, but I decided that Beautiful day today, too, high about 85F, nice little breeze.... I'm listening to some exceptional jazz on KTRU, Rice University Radio. I got the link from JD's site. I really like internet radio. This weekend seems to have been really short, dammit. I need a vacation... I've got twelve hours built up, heh, it'll be a while, I guess. I just thought that I'd mention Javina's Journal... I've re-discovered her, well, a coupla months ago, and I'm enjoying her writing again after a long absence. I lost track of her for several years, but she's been around, I just didn't know it. There are, I'm sure, a lot of things happening in the journalling community that I don't hear about, mostly 'cause I'm not paying that much attention any more. I just kinda do my thing and sail along on the assumption that everyone else is continuing to do their thing, too. Yep, I'm still having fun doing this. I've got my final post-surgical appointment with the orthopod tomorrow afternoon, I don't expect anything unusual to happen there, just a howyadoin' looksgood callmeifthere'sanyproblems....
Monday would be better, I'm sure that the place was packed today, and I really didn't want to battle any crowds.
