Long drive down to Enid in the rain. Karen slept most of the way, she'd taken a coupla "Cold Pills" that Debbie had given her... Karen doesn't stay awake with antihistamines on board.

Backing up a bit, here... lousy sleep last night, my nose was kinda stopped up, so the C-PAP didn't do me a lot of good, waking me up several times, gasping for air through my mouth. Additionally, I was having bad, bad dreams, and I was sure that I would remember them, but no.

Anyway, Karen and Deb went shopping, but they returned home before noon, so we packed the car up and went to lunch and then Karen and I went on to Betty's place while Debbie went on to do her errands. It was really nice seeing her and Ric and Jeff.

Betty was having another pretty good day, but she was repeating herself and you could tell that she wasn't processing very well.

Which is better'n my Aunt Bea, who has the same diagnosis but much more recent. Mom says that she really isn't doing well at all.

Nasty disease. I do hope that if I get it, someone will put me our of their misery... it's not really misery for most alzheimers patients, just misery for the knowing people around them.

Anyways, it rained pretty good on us coming down here today, but Enid hadn't got that much, Mom said. I looked on the radar later and it looked it was "training" over I-35, it didn't extend much westward of there.

Mom is looking good, as she always does; I was going to take a bunch of pictures this time, but both sets of batteries that I brought down are dead, dammit.

I decided to not put up any entries until we get back on Sunday... so I can run them through the spellchecker, at least. We are planning to go back Sunday morning, Karen's kids always have a picnic on Memorial day, and Karen doesn't want to miss that. The picnic almost always gets rained out, too.

Mom had a big pot of vegetable beef soup going when we got here about 18:00. We dawdled around a bit then ate some soup, and after a little while we decided to go to Braums', the ice cream place. I had a *medium* chocolate malt, which was probably still a bit too much for me... plus I had to finish Karen's up for her, too. I have never before *not* bought anything other thaqn the large size... see, I'm really working on it!

Thanx for being here!
