The surgery went well, my knee hurts like hell, I'd rhyme another line but I don't really feel that it's worth the energy. Karen came down to the CT department and met me and we went up to pre-op at 11:00. They got me dressed and then we waited until 12:30, watching TV and chatting. Then more waiting, they finally took me to surgery around 14:00; I remember most of what happened until they put the mask over my face, and then I remember waking up in the recovery room. I didn't wake up very fast, though. I think that I was tired.... The doc that did the surgery used lots of local, even though I was under a general, so my knee didn't really start hurting until later. He talked to Karen when he got done, and he left her with some pictures, which I shall post some day soon, after I get the doc to explain them to me. We got home and Karen made me a sandwich and after about an hour I was ready to go to sleep, but I couldn't, just laid there kinda dozing off and on from the drugs. The drugs are giving me a buzz and that mild and not unpleasant itching sensation, but the itching is bothering me more than usual. I feel like I need to shower, but I can't do that for 48 hours after the surgery. It's psychogenic anyway, so it wouldn't do much good. So I finally did get to sleep and woke up about a half-hour ago with some pretty intense pain and got up to take some more pills and I'll go back to be here shortly....
