Some days... some days, I really don't feel like writing anything here, but I go ahead and do it anyway. Yes, this is one of those days. Doesn't happen very often, but it does happen. Just to let you know. Busy day at work, and I had to take off at 11:10 and have the dentist put in a "flipper" to fill in the hole left from yesterday's extraction. And very uncomfortable. Like having a seal's flipper in your mouth. It's got a part that fits over the upper part of the inside of my mouth, and then the tooth part. I wore it all afternoon, but I took it out as soon as I got home. Luckily it's just temporary. Makes it hard to talk, too, and I noticed patients looking at me funny. It's almost better to have a tooth obviously gone and to have the resulting speech impediment than to have this flipper in and be slurring my words like I was drunk of recovering from a stroke or something. Looking forward to seeing JD sometime tomorrow, and looking forward to not working for the next four days....
I was back to work by 11:45, flipper in place.
