We had one helluva thunderstorm last night about 04:00... and I didn't even wake up. Winds up to 80MPH, trees blowing down, hail, the works. And I snoozed. Karen woke up, though She said that what woke her up was the noise-maker going off. I vaguely remember turning the noise-maker back on, and noticing that the clocks were blinking. But I did get to work on time, and the boss made me take off an hour early... like I ws going to argue about it. Today was busy... I was tending to the patients, and it was runrunrun all day long. Did have some interesting patients, though, and that always makes it better. Not interesting medically, but personally. People that are fun to be around, you know, kinda like I think I am about once a month. Anyway, Karen called me in the middle of the afternoon with a proposition... she wanted to go out to this health club, and you know, Karen gets what she wants. We got out there about 18:00 and the guy gave us a tour and a sales job... he was pretty good. Anyway, to make a long story short, we signed up. More on this later, when I figger out what my goals are and how they think I can get there. It was encouraging, though, in that there were people there who didn't look like they lived in gyms... relatively normal, in other words. After we signed up, we went by to pick up Kim and Patrick to go eat. I tried to get them to go to the New China Inn, but I was outvoted, and we wound up at Casa, a pretty good mexican buffet. My old buddy Galen is coming over tomorrow afternoon to throw some darts, I haven't seen him in quite a while... it's horrible how we neglect old friends. Or how I do, anyway. I have some other old friends that I need to get in touch with, I'm gonna make a point to call them all this weekend. Cool today, especially compared to how it's been since last weekend. High was about 60, and only supposed to be 54F tomorrow. Time for some sleep now.
